Millennium Park in Abuja

Millennium Park is the largest public park in Abuja, offering a beautiful green retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. Inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003, this landmark was designed by Italian architect Manfredi Nicoletti and has become a favorite recreational spot for both locals and visitors.

Park Features and Design

The park spans approximately 32 hectares and is divided into two main sections. One side features untouched savanna vegetation with natural greenhouses for butterflies and tropical birds, while the other offers a more structured Italian-style garden design. A river runs through the park, crossed by several footbridges, creating a harmonious blend of natural and designed landscapes.
